Our hard-working team are all long serving, experienced members of staff who enjoy welcoming your pets to the surgery and providing outstanding care. As Stratford upon Avon's only independent veterinary practice we are not restricted by corporate polices and protocols so can help you make informed health choices about your pet's health, wellbeing and care.
We thoroughly enjoy working with puppies and kittens, but fully appreciate they don't stay this age for long and embrace working with our adult and senior patients long term.
We are committed to providing customer care when your pet requires treatment, as well as focussing on preventative care.
The team engages in regular training which allows us to stay up to date with all the latest developments in veterinary treatments.
Since opening Riverside Veterinary Centre in spring 1997, Dai can say without exaggeration there isn't a day when he hasn't looked forward to coming into work. What's not to enjoy? Spending his working day with cats, dogs and rabbits.
This enjoyment is the result of hard work and dedication, a given in the role of any veterinary surgeon. He also studied parasitology. Dai is backed up by his equally hard-working team making the running of the practice as smooth as possible. Each team member enjoys their work and revels in the responsibilities of their roles supporting him. Dai's idea of relaxing is competing in off road triathlons.
Sally is also a founder Team Member of Riverside Veterinary Centre when the practice opened. Sally manages the practice's administration and maintenance, a varied role. She also processes insurance claims on behalf of owners for which she previously gained an Industry Award for the whole of the UK.
Sally enjoys reception work, greeting new pets as well as familiar faces and owners too. In her free time, Sally is either walking her Labrador, playing netball or volunteering behind the scenes with the organisation of a local Agricultural Show.
Having spent her whole working life in the Veterinary Industry, Yvonne too has been at Riverside Veterinary Centre from the start in 1997. She very much enjoys patient care with her focus being preventative oral care for cats and dogs.
When not in the practice Yvonne fills her time by walking her 3 dogs and is a very busy sewing bee.
Hayley joined the Riverside Team in 2003 and went on to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2007. Hayley's interests include laboratory work, x-rays and medical nursing. Hayley has been the mentor for several Student Veterinary Nurses on their training placements with us at Riverside.
Outside of work you will find Hayley reading, running or boxing.
Alice started with us in 2015 as a Student Veterinary Nurse and she too qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2018. Alice thoroughly enjoys monitoring patients for anaesthetics for operations and is just starting to further her interest in dentistry.
When not at work Alice is caring for her family's "small zoo" and enjoys horse riding and dance.
Abby joined the Riverside Team autumn 2021 and settled in very well. You may well have already met Abby at reception.
She has now started her Student Veterinary Nursing Course attending Solihull College once a week. In her spare time Abby spends her time walking her two golden retrievers, reading and travelling in her camper van.

Should your pet require veterinary treatment or you wish to seek veterinary advice when we are closed, please call 01789 299455 and you will be diverted to The Willows Veterinary Out Of Hours Team.
We have selected The Willows Veterinary as our Out Of Hours Team because their team has vast experience, expertise and facilities within their 24 hour Hospital.
Also, should your pet be hospitalised with them for treatment they do not have a morning deadline to discharge pets, unlike some other providers in the locality.

We accept cash, all major debit and credit cards.
Payments can also be taken securely over the telephone.
Payment is due at the time of the consultation or on the collection of your pet.

Waiting Area
During lockdown we introduced outside or in-car waiting and have seen that your pets seem a lot happier than being in a busy waiting room, therefore we are continuing with our outside or in the car waiting areas for the foreseeable future.
We can see everyone arrive and will come and get you when it’s your pet’s appointment.
Collections
If you’re coming to us to collect medication, food, etc, please come in. We very much appreciate you continuing to call ahead with your orders 01789 299455, this way we can have everything ready for you.
