At the Riverside Veterinary Centre our team of vet are fully qualified in providing your pets with the treatment and care they require. Our team of veterinary nurses have many years experience in dealing with all sorts of problems that may occur during your pets life. Our vet team have been providing expert care thoughout Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and Warwickshire.
Dai Gittins MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Dai Gittins is the principal of the Veterinary Centre. He qualified
as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1988 and holds an additional degree
in Zoology as well as a Masters degree in Parasitology.
Having created the Veterinary Centre from nothing in 1997, he is hugely proud of the development of the services to clients here at Riverside.
The benefits that the ethos of preventative health care has achieved for client's pets over the years has been a testimony to the pioneering approach that Riverside has developed.
Sue Greenwood MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Sue Greenwood joined the staff at Riverside Veterinary Centre in
1998. Sue qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1994 from Bristol
University, having previously gained a B.A.(Hons) Biology (Oxon).
She is a highly experienced and skilled surgeon and brings a fresh perspective to the work undertaken at the Veterinary Centre and is a valuable member of the team.
Andrew Whittingham MRCVS
Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon
Andrew qualified from Liverpool University as a veterinary surgeon
in 1992. Following an early career in mixed and small animal practice
he developed an interest in orthopaedic surgery and qualified further
with a certificate in animal surgery in 1999.
Andrew now works as a visiting orthopaedic surgeon to a variety of Veterinary Centres in the Midlands, including Riverside Veterinary Centre. Many clients have benefited from being able to use these extended facilities at Riverside since Andrew started his Service in 2004.
Yvonne Claridge
Animal Nurse
Yvonne is one of the founder members of staff at Riverside Veterinary
Centre. Having worked as an Animal Nurse for 30 years Yvonne brings
a wealth of experience to the day-to-day work at the Veterinary
Centre.
Her knowledge and care for all patients in her charge is quite simply second to none, something our clients value very highly.
Sally Harrison
Practice Manager
In 2007 Sally achieved the industry acclaimed award of Pet Insurance
Advisor of the year for the whole of the UK.
It was recognition of Sally’s dedicated work on the part of clients in helping them process insurance claims as well as the wealth of sound advice that all clients have benefited from over the years.
Sally is also a founder member of Riverside and monitors all administrative matters for the Centre.
Hayley Strangwood RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Hayley achieved a long held ambition of qualification as a Veterinary
Nurse in 2007. Hayley joined the staff at Riverside in 2003 and
has honed her considerable skills in client care along with nursing
studies during her time at Riverside.
Further study for a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing is very much a goal for Hayley. Hayley is the first point of contact at the Veterinary Centre for clients needing help with information relating to PETS passport.
Charlotte Brind
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Charlotte gained a BA (Hons) in Fine Art & Illustration at
Coventry University before deciding to become a Veterinary Nurse.
She joined Riverside in March 2008 and will be start her training at Warwickshire College in September.
Milo
Acquired as a rescue kitten from the RSPCA in 2003, he has become
a very popular member of staff.
Fond of any form of adoration, his favourite perch is on top of the reception computer where he can view all visitors.
