Dai Gittins MRCVS
Dai Gittins MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Dai Gittins is the principal of the Veterinary Centre.  He qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1988 and holds an additional degree in Zoology as well as a Masters degree in Parasitology.  Having created the Veterinary Centre from nothing in 1997, he is hugely proud of the development of the services to clients here at Riverside.  The benefits that the ethos of preventative health care has achieved for clients’ pets over the years has been a testimony to the pioneering approach that Riverside has developed.

Sue Greenwood MRCVS
Sue Greenwood MRCVS

Sue Greenwood joined the staff at Riverside Veterinary Centre in 1998. Sue qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1994 from Bristol University, having previously gained a B.A.(Hons) Biology (Oxon). She is a highly experienced and skilled surgeon and brings a fresh perspective to the work undertaken at the Veterinary Centre and is a valuable member of the team.

Andrew Whittingham MRCVS
Andrew Whittingham MRCVS
Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon
Andrew qualified from Liverpool University as a veterinary surgeon in 1992. Following an early career in mixed and small animal practice he developed an interest in orthopaedic surgery and qualified further with a certificate in animal surgery in 1999. Andrew now works as a visiting orthopaedic surgeon to a variety of Veterinary Centres in the Midlands, including Riverside Veterinary Centre. Many clients have benefited from being able to use these extended facilities at Riverside since Andrew started his Service in 2004.

Yvonne Claridge
Yvonne Claridge
Animal Nurse
Yvonne is one of the founder members of staff at Riverside Veterinary Centre.  Having worked as an Animal Nurse for 30 years Yvonne brings a wealth of experience to the day-to-day work at the veterinary Centre.  Her knowledge and care for all patients in her charge is quite simply second to none, something our clients value very highly.

Sally Harrison
Sally Harrison
Practice Manager
In 2007 Sally achieved the industry acclaimed award of Pet Insurance Advisor of the year for the whole of the UK.  It was recognition of Sally’s dedicated work on the part of clients in helping them process insurance claims as well as the wealth of sound advice that all clients have benefitted from over the years.  Sally is also a founder member of Riverside and monitors all administrative matters for the Centre.

Hayley Strangwood VN
Hayley Strangwood RVN
Veterinary Nurse
Hayley achieved a long held ambition of qualification as a Veterinary Nurse in 2007.  Hayley joined the staff at Riverside in 2003 and has honed her considerable skills in client care along with nursing studies during her time at Riverside.  Further study for a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing is very much a goal for Hayley. Hayley is the first point of contact at the Veterinary Centre for clients needing help with information relating to PETS passport.

Laura Perkins
Laura Perkins
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Laura has been at the Veterinary Centre since 2006 and joined as a trainee.  She has passed the first phase of exams in her first year with the Veterinary Centre and is set to take her finals in the summer of 2008. Laura has become established as a very capable member of the team and is growing into an asset for Riverside Veterinary Centre.

Milo
Milo
Acquired as a rescue kitten from the RSPCA in 2003, he has become (not surprisingly) a very popular member of staff. Fond of any form of adoration, his favourite perch is on top of the reception computer where he can view all visitors.
